The Drumchapel Table Tennis Schools Development Programme started In 2006, 6 local primary schools were involved in the programme with 300 children actively taking part throughout the year

In 2008/2009, with the inclusion of primary schools in the Yoker/ Knightswood area of Glasgow, the programme now consists of 13 Primary Schools and 1 High School, with over 800 children taking part in table tennis every month!

In 2009/2010, the programme saw a total of over 10,000 youngsters participating throughout the school year. This was a fantastic achievement for everyone involved in the programme. A lot of thanks goes out to the schools, active schools coordinators and coaches.

in 2010/2011 the programme now has 16 primary schools and 4 secondary schools involved. The programme continues to grow, and in October, over 30 youngsters from a variety of schools particiapted in their first national competition - the Scottish Primary Schools Championships. The club was recently recognised for the tremendous work they are doing by the Sports Council for Glasgow annual awards - winning development club of the year.
