British Premier League was back in action this weekend with Drumchapel Glasgow 1 heading to London to take on BATTS in the first match of the new year.

The Drumchapel team of David McBeath, Victor Guang Shi and Sepehr Bidari took on BATTS team of Jack Bennett, Hugo Batocchi and Alexis Mommessin. 

In the first match, Victor and Sepehr teamed up for the doubles to take on Jack and Hugo. With 3 close sets it was BATTS who took the first match giving them a 1-0 lead. Next up was David against Alexis. In another close fought match, it was David who came out on top winning 3-1 to draw Drumchapel level. 

The third match saw Sepehr take on Hugo. Sepehr took a 2-0 lead before Hugo pulled the match level to 2-2. It came right down to the deciding game with Sepehr sneaking the win 11-9 to put Drumchapel 2-1 ahead. 

Next Up was Victor against Alexis. Victor managed to level the match at 1-1 before Alexis ran away with the match winning 3-1 and making the match go to the deciding game.

The deciding game was David and Jack. David won the first set 11-9 before Jack pulled back the second 12-10. David was then able to show his experience by closing out the match 11-7, 11-6 to give Drumchapel the win against a very tough team.
